We would like to introduce ourselves as your 2018-2019 Ambassador Committee Chair Pattie Martin (Twin City Fireplace & Stone Company) and Vice Chair Marla Abstetar (Kohler Co.). We are excited to be the liaisons between BATC-Housing First Minnesota and its many members, as membership is truly the heartbeat of the association. We greatly appreciate all the members and the efforts that each of you offer to drive the association forward.
Our goal as the chair and vice chair of the Ambassador Committee is to assure that all members of BATC-Housing First Minnesota make the most out of their membership. This includes helping new members get involved in events and committees, encouraging current members to attend events, and re-engaging existing members who want to get more out of their membership.
Being involved in the association is key to make the most out of your membership, and is also essential to promote the building industry in our communities. Oftentimes, we are asked what the must-attend events are for members to make the most out of their membership. If time only allows you to attend a handful of events, we would recommend these three as your top priority. They offer wonderful networking opportunities with builders and associate members:
One of the best ways to get involved in BATC-Housing First Minnesota is to join a committee or task force that best aligns with your interests. The partnerships and relationships that each of us have created with both associates and builders have made an impact on our businesses, and many began with relationships built through these committees. Visit batc.org/committees to learn more about the many opportunities that exist, and find one that matches with your skill set and time commitment.
As the Ambassador Committee leaders, we welcome referrals for new members that are interested in joining the association, and would be happy to talk to them about the many benefits of being involved in BATC-Housing First Minnesota. Please feel free to send us any referrals, and we’ll send you $100 Member Bucks (which can be used to take home some incredible prizes at the Member Buck Auction in November) when the company joins with you listed as the referral.
